The 3rd Yunnan Merchants Assembly was held in Kunming, Yunnan province, on July 27. More than 230 representatives from Chinese and overseas enterprises, chambers of commerce, and trade associations attended the event.

Wang Ning, secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Wang Yubo, governor of Yunnan, presented the plaque for Dian Merchants Business School.

Wang Ning said that thriving enterprises lead to thriving industries, and thriving industries bring prosperity to the people. Entrepreneurs already in Yunnan, those who see potential in Yunnan and those who will come to Yunnan, are all considered Yunnan merchants—the best partners for Yunnan's development.

"We will continue to serve as a strong backing for merchants and entrepreneurs, ensuring that all merchants feel at home in Yunnan—secure, satisfied, and focused on achieving success in their endeavors," Wang Ning said.

Wang Ning emphasized that Yunnan's prosperity depends on the success of its entrepreneurs, and the success of entrepreneurs in Yunnan will further drive the province's development.

As Yunnan embarks on a new journey, its geographical advantages are becoming increasingly prominent. The green energy, minerals, agriculture, cultural tourism, biodiversity, and other unique resources in the province are being turned into new drivers for growth.

The present-day Yunnan is like an airplane taxiing on the runway, accelerating for takeoff and poised to soar. "Choosing Yunnan means choosing opportunity, and investing in Yunnan means investing for the future," Wang Ning added.

The assembly, themed "gathering entrepreneurial momentum for Yunnan’s new development," will also include a business tour for Yunnan entrepreneurs.
